Biography

By deftly combining the intensity of a full band with engaging pop-driven melodies, Kris Orlowski has created a sound that is stirring, distinctive, and quintessentially northwestern.  Flanked by bassist Jason Stiles and drummer Tim Rummerfield, the band delivers a pulsing, edgy roots-rock sound with strokes of Alternative and Americana sway that tease the ballads and tragedies of tomorrow.  

The band brings their playful antics, witty musical interludes and infectious, affable sense of belonging to their live shows leaving the listener wanting much, much more.  Taxi claims that Kris Orlowski's "perspective and descriptive imagery give him a measure of depth", his nuanced lyrics creating a raw vulnerability that accents the bands simple, catchy melodies. 

While showcasing their EP, "The Compromise" (November 2006), the band continues to evolve its' live show, dressing their already relatable sound with light movements and driving spectacles.  Their blend of emotional vocals, witty onstage dialogue, and catchy songs are something worth discovering.
